Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the extension?
Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar, choose a format, then drag and resize the overlay on any webpage. Click "Capture" to save the screenshot.
What formats are supported?
Square (1080x1080), Portrait (1080x1350), Vertical (1080x1440), Landscape (1080x566), Story (1080x1920), Reel (1080x1920), and Carousel (1080x1350). Plus Panoramic Carousel with 2-10 slides.
What does the quality indicator mean?
Green (100%+) means pixel-perfect capture. Orange (70-99%) means slight upscaling. Red (<70%) means you should zoom in or enlarge the overlay for better quality.
How does the Panoramic Carousel work?
Select the number of slides (2-10), position the wide overlay, and capture. All slides are automatically cut and exported as a numbered ZIP file ready to upload to Instagram.
Does the extension collect my data?
No. Everything runs 100% locally in your browser. No data is ever sent to any server. See our Privacy Policy.
The extension icon doesn't appear
Click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar, find "Instagram Screenshotter", and click the pin icon to make it visible.
The overlay doesn't appear after clicking a format
Some Chrome internal pages (like chrome://, the Web Store, or the New Tab page) don't allow extensions to inject content. Try on any regular website.
